Mt Kenya is a dormant volcano with jagged peaks reaching 5,199m/17,057ft in elevation. It is comprised of three major peaks: Batian, Nelion, and Lenana. Batian and Nelion are permanently covered in snow and small glaciers, making them ideal for technical alpine climbing.
Meanwhile, passionate climbers from near and far pay homage to the mountain’s magnificence in unique ways. They reach the summit of one of the mountain’s three main peaks. However, these are not your typical summits. Only one of Mount Kenya’s three crests, Point Lenana, is accessible to amateurs.
